Why and how did you start modeling?
When I began my career as a model, I never expected it would deepen my sense of self-love. Since my childhood when I used to see TVC adds I always wanted to be there and be part of that TVC and imagine me being on that TVC. I always believed that I had good sense of style, adaptability, a positive attitude, excellent stamina, communication skills, ability to look good at all times. I started the selfie even before it was trending I started to love the camera and the way it made me look on screen and started to love to be part of this colorful journey.
I’m proud to say that I started my journey as a model after I became a Mother after I was blessed with a baby boy. Yes after all the years of my dream something knocked in me telling only dream and imagining will not help me. I will have to start moving up and take a step telling myself ‘’NEVER LET UR PASSION FADE AWAY’’.
Has the modeling industry changed YOU since you first started out?
A big ‘’Yes’’. Three main important aspects I have learnt in modeling. First is Shame of Rejections, Second is Good Luck, and third is Talent. I realized that you don’t need good luck to get into modeling. All you need is dedication, passion and consistency. ‘’KEEP TRYING’’ till you reach your destination. And that we need Talent along with that patience. I never stopped when people rejected me. I utilized that as good learning and worked on the feedback. Just like Iron the harder you hit the better you get.
What was one of your most gratifying experiences while modeling?
There are many in my case because for me every small little steps that I took with courage & small little opportunities that I came on my way it was indeed a gratifying moment for me.
All these small steps which lead me to be finalist of Mrs. India Karnataka I’m powerful of 2019 & I won ‘’Mrs. Congeniality’’. And I won ‘’Mrs. Chennai super woman 2019’’and was awarded as Mrs. Motivator & 1st Runner up of Mrs. Chennai. I haven’t walked for my favorite high-fashion brands yet, but having the opportunity to walk for the above titles was still a huge accomplishment for me. People told me I’d never be able to do that, Guess what ‘I DID IT’’.
What efforts have you made to create positive change and/or more transparency in the industry?
I always say what I feel and I’m real about it. When I work a job or shoot, I try to inspire. I speak up and try to motivate other people.
What advice do you have for someone just starting out?
